T R A C E S
My artwork traces pathways of memory.
The not forgotten climbing tree, the magnificent fallen Fig trees, Eucalyptus and Liquid Amber leaves are imprinted and remembered vividly in my imagination.

The desire to celebrate, sing and dance, shout out my crazy love for trees is initially expressed through splashed colours, wild untamed and spontaneous painting. This is followed by a more considered process of observing collections of leaves, which guide the organic designs in the works, evoking the memory of fallen leaves.

T R A C E S  was exhibited at Bondi Pavilion Gallery as part of a group show with the new artist collective, PKS: Project Kollective Spaces. The exhibition focused on the cultural and environmental significance of trees. The PKS artists explore the complex human-tree relationship, and celebrate the everyday beauty of Sydney’s trees, by using photo media, film, installation, drawing and painting.
